Demographics

Most Metropolitan Yanitarians are descended from the Scandinavian Yanitariens, or the French and Occitan speaking Arcadiens. Additionally there are minority populations of spanish speaking peoples from the war west of Greater Dienstad, german speaking peoples from Maccabees and Prussians from The Peoples Freedom. Approximately 70% of people claim Yanitarien heritage, 20% Arkadian, 7.5% Prussian or Macabean German, and 2.5% Macabean Spanish (although many of the spanish speaking peoples are in fact from countries around Macabees, including SafeHaven, Guffingford, and Zarbia, most immigrating during The War of Golden Succession.

Of those people, 99% of them speak and write French, 35% Norwegian, 20% Occitan, 9% Monégasque, 6% German, and 2% Spanish.

Yanitarians, for the most part, are atheists, part of a trend that started sometime during the 1200s and steadily increasing until an explosion during the 1800s, and again after the Corbournnian Wars. Approximately 51% of Yanitarians hold no religious beliefs, or hold religious beliefs only for reason of heritage with out sincerely believing them, while 40% are catholic, 4% are muslim, 2% are [Kébiric Jews], 2% are protestant christian, 1% are "Other".
