Qazox became the 2nd nation, Newmanistan was the first; to host a 2nd World Bowl. With a record field of 54 entrants the group stage constisted of Six 9-team groups with the TOP three teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The 4 lowest seeded 3rd place teams will face off in a play-in round to determine the #15 and #16 seeds for the main playoff bracket. The group stages will be hosted by the participating nations with each team playing 8 games, 4 at home and 4 away.
Group stage & Playoff Results
- Stunningly 4 of the top 13 teams were drawn into Group D, while Group C only had 1 team ranked in the top 15. AS a result, Sarzonia, the 3rd ranked team failed to advance; along with tourney hosts Qazox. Amongst the teams that did qualify were Baptism of Iron IX Champions, F1-Insanity; Scandavian States; The Fanboyists and Steroga. These 4 teams were considered to be long-shots before the tourney began to even make the playoffs.
- In the playoffs, many top contenders fell in the first 2 rounds; including Defending champions Cassadaigua; 3-time champs Dancougar, and Perennial Contenders Taeshan, Newmanistan and Fujisiwan Territories. In fact the final four consisted of 4 teams that had a combined total of just 4 quarterfinal appearances,(all by Vephrall) and one semifinal, also by Vephrall, and that was at the Gridiron World Championships. Tocrowkia won their first title by defeating Bluth Corporation (semis), and the Babbage Islands (finals), both of which were undefeated until facing the Nordics.

- Overall Point Differential
- Points Allowed per quarter played.
- There will not be ties in the group stage. OT will be NFL Playoff Rules (meaning Sudden Death). This will allow for the Points Allowed per quarter Tiebreaker to be more meaningful.
