Following Green wombat's lead in hosting the 7th WBC, Newmanistan, will host the 8th World Baseball Classic, in its 2nd appearance. A couple of suprises in the group stages as Tocrowkia and Green wombat each advanced to the Quarterfinals for the first time, while Liventia failed to qualify. In the championship bracket, Newmanistan, the hosts, knocked off the defedning champions, while Milchama, Taeshan, and Qazox; three perennial contenders, each advanced to the semis as well. In the 9th-16th bracket, Liventia took home the 9th place title, defeating Secristan. In the Semifinals, the Hosts faced off with Milchama, after knocking off the Defending champions, while Taeshan and Qazox faced off in the other Semifinal. The final saw Milchama face Qazox and after a tough 6 game series, Qazox won its second title in 3 tourneys.
