Geography and climate
Tocrowkia's eastern and northeastern landscape is dominated by steppes and rolling hills. The area around Kharazuma, as can be seen, is a huge, wet marshland, which acts as a natural fortification for the city.
The south-eastern region is divided from the eastern hub of Tocrowkia by the NAME mountain range. It and smaller ranges stretch to the coastline, and as a result there are very few large beaches on the cliff-formed south-eastern shore.
Tocrowkia's climate is dictated by its close proximity to the Arctic Ocean. The northern half is an extremely frigid region, with frequent flash blizzards and below-zero temperatures common, even during the summer months, an only worsens during the winter months. An annual of six feet of snow falls in the Northern regions each week during summer, while records of up to thirty feet fall in winter. The southern quarter of the microcontinent is slightly warmer, and is also home to a more diverse range of wildlife. Whereas the northern tundra is home to generally only a few species of wildlife such as bears, deer and birds, the southern provinces are warm enough to support a wide variety of insects, reptiles and aquatic species.

Tocrowkian culture shares many common features with Nordic cultures, from which it derives its lineage.
Certain sports, such as fencing and martial arts, are compulsory in Tocrowkian schools and academies.
Tocrowkian society is extremely xenophobic and nationalistic with regard to other cultures that do not share a similar heritage. Despite this, marriage to foreigners is not a taboo, but it is required by general society that the Tocrowkian partner attempt to assimilate his or her spouse into Tocrowkian culture, and raise their children with Tocrowkian virtues. It is also preferable that the partner in question be of Nordic descent. Caucasians—such as Germans, English or French—can be considered acceptable partners, but are treated with noticeable discrimination.
Hair mythos
As Tocrowkians are Nordic people, they have a high population of fair-haired peoples. Over the centuries, Tocrowkian culture has come to associate certain traits with fair-haired peoples, especially blonde's and redheads. In 2007, the Reich Interior Ministry estimated that around 54% of Tocrowkians have a fair hair color (In the study, only blond, red and light brown were considered "fair").

- Brown hair is associated with purity and innocence.
These beliefs are deeply integrated into Tocrowkian society and more often than not, the determining factor in many contests, whether political, military or civil.
