Ancient Qazian

Ancient Qazian was a completly pictoral language, and had no known spoken version. The pictorals do however translate into English, with little difficulty. The Ancient Qazians did not have a concept for zero, but still had a concept of multipling by factors of 10.

Modern Qazian

The modern Qazian language has become a blended version of Ancient Qazian and English. To the untrained ear, there may be no noticable difference in the pronouncation of the words, but to the citizenry of Qazox there is.

  • The LONG O sound in English, is spelled with an Ó, ONLY when the English word is spelled with a OO. ie: SHOOT (Qazian: ShÓt).
  • English EI (as in Weight) is usually spelled with an A (Qazian: Waght) , unless the EI is the beginning of the word (i.e. Eight), then it is spelled the same as in English.
  • English IE (as in Fried) is always spelled with an I, dropping the E (Qazian: Frid) or Pixie (Qazian: Pixi).
  • English SH in the middle of the word (as in enshroud) is always spelled with a ß (Qazian: enßroud). At the beginning or end of a word, it is spelled the same as in English.
  • English PH (as in Photo) at the beginning of a word is always spelled with an Þ (Qazian: Þoto), unless it is in the middle or end of a word, it is then spelled the same as in English.
