The Patrician is tank produced in Praetonia by Parsons Engineering Co.. It is the standard vehicle equipping the Royal Lancers (Praetonian armoured formations) of the Expeditionary Force, and large numbers of vehicles are kept in controlled storage for Volunteer Force and New Army formations that may be raised in the event of a great war. It is heavily armed, strongly protected and highly mobile. It is designed to be deployed in large numbers by sealift as part of HM Forces abroad.

History
The War Office initiated the Replacement Universal Tank programme as the increasing obsolescence of the 35t General Tank, designed during the Dixie War crisis, led to fears that Praetonia would be unable to guarantee the territorial integrity of Clandonia against invasion from bolshevist Krendakov. The War Office Specification called for a modern vehicle of at least 60t, with satisfactory cross-county mobility, a main armament capable of defeating the frontal armour of a typical MBT of the period and commensurate armour protection. The first Patrician Universal Tank was presented to the King on Commonwealth Day, 270 New Style, and subsequently many thousands were produced.
Patricians in controlled storage were activated for the first time at the start of the HUNS-League War, a conflict whose premature end has given way to a fresh war with SICON in the South West. Patricians in service with the Questarian army, so far the vehicle's only government export customer, are serving on the front line against Doomani and Alacean formations in the South, and Unkerlantum formations in the North.
