The Oriental Football Cup (zh:東陽蹴球高頗, kr:동양축구고파, es:La Copa Oriéntale de Fútbol) Third Edition was played in Daehanjeiguk - the founder of the tournament. The purpose of the tournament was to establish rapport among countries that hosted large Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Malay, Mongolian, Thai, and Vietnamese population; hence, the name of the tournament. A record number of ten teams took part in the tournament. All games were held at the Emperor Gojong Football Stadium, Hangyeong.

Rules
For the first time in Oriental Football Cup history a group stage followed by knockouts were used in favour of the two losses and out rule used in previous tournaments. Draw were also allowed for the first time in the group stage. With each group containing five teams each team faced a day without a game during the group stage. To counter this, when a team was not playing a match against an opponent it played the team in the other group in the same situation as them.
