Olmedreca, officially the State of Olmedreca (Estonian: Olmedreka or Olmedreka Riik) is a relatively isolationist country located in North-West Haven. It is bordered to the north by polar ice sheet, to the west by Haleigha Sea, to the south by White Sea and to the east by a massive ocean behind which lies Gholgoth region.

History
Human settlement in Olmedreca became possible 11,000 to 13,000 years ago, when the ice from the last glacial era melted away. The oldest known settlement in Olmedreca is the Pulli settlement, which was located on the banks of the Laatre River, at modern region of Lõuna-Revala, it was settled around 11,000 years ago, at the beginning of the ninth millennium BC. By 7000 BC Fenno-Ugric tribes had reached to all modern counties of Olmedreca.
First notable states were formed around 500 BC. Most of these collapsed soon to never arise again except one. Traditional birthyear for Kingdom of Revala is 380 BC when Lembitu I ??? was crowned as king in Varbola. For several centuries Revala's civilization and wealth was unmatched, while it became largest state in Olmedrecan continent. At this time most of the continent's coastline was mapped and contacts were established with areas outside Olmedrecan continent. Revala reached to zenith of its power around 70 BC, after what its dominance started to slowly decline. By 500 AD numerous other states had risen all around Olmedreca and start of Revalia-Ticza feud in 617 AD is considered the beginning of Warring Kingdoms age.
During this period several kingdoms like Ticza, Ugandi and Sakala succeeded in forming large empires but none of them managed to stabilize their holdings properly. In early 1100's new rise of Revala started under king Tabelinus III who succeeded in building up massive empire once again, his successors were not as able and struggled to keep empire together then its new enemies raised while conquered territories tried to rebel. Major change arrived when Great Khan Arpad united various Hungarian tribes to Khanate of Heves in 1311. After unification Arpad launched massive invasions in practically all directions, his neighbors armies were powerless against his massive cavalry, and in short time Khanate had became second major power next to Revalia and practically all kingdoms on continent feared Hungarian invasion.
On initiative of Saaremaa nobleman Vesse Olmedreka, united empire was formed by most of the remaining kingdoms in 1342. Soon after Olmedreka's death empire was officially named after him. While first emperor was King of Revalia, Sulev VI, empire was elective monarchy with emperor being chosen by Council of Elders consisting of important aristocrats, latter resulting tense competition for throne between major noble families.

Politics and Government
Proper classification of Olmedreca's unorthodox political system has always been problematical. Officially Olmedreca considers itself to be "Technocracy", supporters of regime also oftenly call it "Meritocracy" and "Educated Democracy". Many critics have called it "Military Junta" for influence of army in politics, "Oligarchy" for lack of universal suffrage, and "Elective Dictatorship" for extremely large powers of the First Citizen.
Posts of Head of State, and Head of Government, are combined together under title “First Citizen” ("Esimene Kodanik"). A First Citizen’s term is defined at 12 years, one person can serve as First Citizen unlimited number of terms. The First Citizen effectively holds both executive and legislative powers as he assigns not only ministers and members of Parliament ("Riigikogu"), but also First Citizen chooses members of Supreme Court. The Supreme War Council can vote First Citizen out of office if 5 members of council agree with the decision.
Only small amount of population have voting rights in elections to the position of First Citizen. Weight of vote depends of education or military rank. Votes of citizens with higher education or military rank have a lot more weight in elections of First Citizen. Right to vote starts from Bachelor's degree (for natural sciences) and Lieutenant rank (and its equivalents in navy and air force). Also voting system strongly favours natural sciences and mathematics, statistics and computer science, which have 5 times more voting weight then social sciences and humanities.
Although First Citizen has generally free hands then choosing ministers, there are several minimum requirements. All ministers must have a Master's degree in field closely related to their speciality, and must have at least 15 years of work experience on jobs that are closely related to their speciality.
Parliament has 66 members which the First Citizen chooses. Here are also minimum requirements, like one third must have a master’s decree in law, one third must have a master’s decree in economics related speciality, and one third must have a rank of major (or its naval or air force equivalent). All must have 10 years working experince on job closely related to their education.
The military, especially the Supreme War Council, holds an extremely strong influence in Olmedrecan politics. The majority of First Citizens have been officers.
Most of the political, economical, and military elite, strongly supports the current political system of Olmedreca. The strongest opposition organization to regime is the Olmedrecan Democratic Alliance ("Olmedreka Demokraatlik Liit") (ODL) the main goal of which is universal suffrage. The ODL tries to achieve its goals through peaceful methods, and is only organization supporting change of political system with widespread influence.
Foreign relations
For a long time Olmedreca pursued mostly isolationist foreign policy, staying out of major alliances and maintaining neutrality in most conflicts. At that time only international organization memberships were belonging to various anti-communist organizations like ACID, ACTO and ACA. Only notable exception was Olmedrecan participation in Hamilayan Civil War, where Olmedreca supported Empire of Hamilay with some limited success.
Notable change arrived then Olmedreca joined neutral alliance SAPAN, and soon after latter's collapse became member of the Sovereign League. Still despite abandoning neutrality Olmedreca has remained relatively isolationist and disinterested in matters not close to its territorial areas, especially those outside Haven.

Geography
Administrative divisions
A county ("maakond") is the biggest administrative subdivision. The State of Olmedreca is divided into ??? counties which are the administrative subdivisions of the country. The county government ("maavalitsus") of each county is led by a county governor ("maavanem") who represents the national government at the regional level. Governors are appointed by First Citizen for a term of five years. Counties have large differences in size and population, best example being Valgemaa at north, which is larger than any other county, but has the smallest population.

Economy
Olmedreca has a highly industrialized, free-market economy with a per capita output equal to that of other major capitalistic powers. The largest industries are electronics , machinery, vehicles and other engineered metal products , forest industry , and chemicals.
Due isolated geographic situation which means long trade routes, Olmedreca has self-sufficiency in many areas. In few areas self-sufficiency is intentional government policy to increase strategic security situation for nation. Main example being tariffs on foreign oil to defend domestic synthetic crude oil industry which uses oil shale.
A balanced budget, non-existent public debt, flat-rate income tax, free trade regime, fully convertible currency backed by currency board, competitive commercial banking sector, hospitable environment for foreign investment, innovative e-Services and even mobile-based services are all hallmarks of Olmedreca's free-market-based economy.
Olmedreca has heavily relied on nuclear power which forms majority of country's electricity production, main other electricity source is fossil fuel power generation using oil shale, which produces about one third of mainland electricity and almost all on overseas territories. Hydroelectric power generation is also used, although it forms relatively small part of total electricity production.
Resources
Olmedreca has various different resources. Most notably it has massive oil shale reserves, as result Olmedreca's oil shale industry is one the largest in the world, if not the largest. Olmedreca also has relatively large coal, timber, fish, nickel, aluminum, and lead reserves and zinc production. There are also notable uranium reserves but due relatively high mining costs, Olmedreca currently imports most of its uranium. It should be noted that oil and natural gas reserves in Olmedreca are minimal.

Population
Olmedreca currently numbers above 7 billion inhabitants, population is constantly rising, although rise is slowing down relatively, its roughly constant in absolute numbers. Olmedreca has relatively low population density. Population has always been concentrated in the southern parts of the country, a phenomenon even more pronounced after 20th century urbanisation. There are many large cities, although notably all Olmedrecan cities have population below 25 million.
Language
In Olmedreca practically all Finno-Ugric languages are spoken. Most widespread is Estonian which is spoken by 57% of population as first language and is also official language of state. There are two other major languages. Native Hungarian speakers form 23% of poplation, mainly in South-West part of country, while Finnish speakers form 18% of population and are located mainly at northern areas. Finnish and Hungarian are treated very highly in provinces there they are majority language. Other Finno-Ugric languages are generally limited to smaller communities. Due minimal immigration, there are practically no people with foreign language as mother tongue.

Religion
Olmedrecans are generally considered not very religious people. Majority religion is oftenly classified as Olmedrecan paganism, but that applies to all forms of paganism that originates from Olmedreca. Many experts fully disagree with the term "Olmedrecan paganism", as there is no centralization, and actual beliefs vary heavily all around the country. Almost half of population considers themselves to be atheists or agnostics. Due minimal immigration, foreign religions have failed to gain any widespread support. Some have also accused the government in policy of disrupting the activities of believers of the foreign religions, especially monotheists. Most popular foreign religions are Zukaarian paganism and Cottish paganism.
