1687
On June 8th, 1687, representatives from the northern territories and of the colony of Wickedable, came to the Holy Ox Oxen V (Kenny Lierman) to ask for independence, and was promptly rebuffed. The represenatives then assassinated Oxen V, and declared their independence from Qazox. The Qazoxian army was swift to recapture the small island of Wickedable by the end of July. However, Green Wombat saw that a fractured Qazox gave them a chance to reclaim territories lost during the Lake Porter War. Green Wombat troops marched into the southern terrtories of Qazox starting in August 1687, and declared them part of Green Wombat. Having to fight a two-front war depleted the Qazoxian Amry and by the end of 1687 had lost most of the southern territories and most of the Lake Porter region to Green wombat
1688
By January of 1688, Qazox had lost its grip on the south and was at a stalemate in the north. Unexpectedly, in February of 1688, Green Wombat had withdrawn its troops from Qazox, thus freeing the southern territories. The withdrawal was only a ploy as members of the Northern Allies had contacted Green Wombat and had promised to give up part of their territory if they would help them fight Qazox. By May of 1688, Qazox only held the island of Wickedable and the territory which is now the Countries of Pool Shrimpers and Piscodemons. The Qazoxian troops fought valiently but could not stem the tide of the inevitable. By the end of July, the northern territories had ransacked Qazox City and were marching towards Lorax City and Fromburg, the only major cities in Qazox not under enemy control. On October 24-28th the Battle of Lorax City began with 18,000 Qazoxian troops versus 41,000 Northern Allied and Green Wombatian troops. For 5 days the Qazoxian Army held the city and the Lorax river, knowing if they failed, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the country would fall. A daring midnight raid by Qazoxian General Robert "Brickwall" Lee, in the early morning of October 31st, surprised the Rebels and they lost nearly 5,000 troops on the raid with General Lee only losing 300 of his 1,200 troops. This daring raid by "Brickwall" enhearted the Qazoxian troops, earned the General a nickname, and the tide of the war turned. During the 5-day siege, General Lee had only lost 6,000 men; while the rebels had lost almost 24,000. By December 17th, 1688, General Lee had reclaimed Qazox City and had the rebels on the run.
1689
The momentum gained during the Lorax City Brickwall, as the daring stand in October 1688 was now called, kept the rebels on their heels. By June of 1689 Qazox had re-controled most of the country and the rebels once again asked for more aid from Green Wombat. Green Wombat sent 50,000 troops towards Lake Porter once again on August 17th, since the majority of the Qazoxian troops were in the northern cities of San Guano and New Bruxen. Lt. General George Aldrin Custer heard of the advancing troops and with only 10,000 men, kept the Green Wombat troops from burning down Lake Porter City. Custer, after the war claimed that he personally killed 1,000 of the invaders and that the Navy gave him absolutely no help, but since he was drunk most of the time, this may not be entirely accurate. He was assisted by Captain John William Scott, whose naval forces bombarded the invading army, thus weakening their offensive. With this last offensive squashed, Green Wombat withdrew all support for the rebels and on September 6, 1689 had signed a peace treaty with Qazox. The rebels weren't done fightng yet as a stalemate broke on the border between the two sides, with neither side advancing much. By late December 1689, negotiations began to end the war.
1690
With little having been done on the northern front since mid-September 1689 and the prospects of a long, drawn-out war was not sitting well with the general populace. On February 28th, 1690 a peace treaty was signed between Qazox and its former territories, with Qazox reconizing the 3 new countries which sprang from them: Certifiably Insane, Sawed, and Moonkins. Also signed on that day was the Insaneindahead Treaty which allowed territory held by Green Wombat to become independent as well. The Insanican Uprising/Qazoxian Civil War had cost Qazox 590,000 troops dead, 1,315,000 injured and 15,000 MIA. The Northern territories lost 350,000 dead, 796,000 injured and 23,000 MIA. Green Wombat's losses were not exactly known but the losses are estimated as follows: 135,000 dead, 250,000 injured and 7,500 MIA.
