Eeobroht is the national capital of the Realm of Cotland. It is located on southern bank of the NAME river in the northeastern part of the Cottish homeland, some 120 kilometers inland. Eeobroht is one of the most populous cities in Cotland, with a population in the city proper of 22,754,000 by a 2009 estimate and a population in the greater metropolitan area of about 57,120,000, it is second only to the cities of Varde in the eastern part of Cotland and Stavern on the western seaboard in terms of population.

History
Eeobroht was founded in the year 999 AD by insert name of king here, and elevated to city status a mere sixty years later, in 1057 AD. By this time, the city already had a population of twenty thousand, and continued to grow rapidly. In 1102, the Citadel of Eeobroht was completed, with the Saint Markus Cathedral finished fifty years later in 1152. Battles have been waged over the control of Eeobroht since the city first was established, and every Cottish king after name have had his Royal Seat in Eeobroht. This has led to Eeobroht being dubbed the City of Kings (Cottish: Kongenes by), and led to the city being the undisputed capital city of the nation. It wasn't until 1771 AD with the ascension of the House of Reikja to the throne that official legislation was passed, establishing Eeobroht as the official capital city of the nation.
