The Bazalonian Federal Police (BFP) is a Federal police force that handles federal law enforcement, their major areas of responsibility include Drug enforcement, federal computer/telecommunication crimes, escort and protection services for dignitary (Foreign and local) as well as crimes that are just out of the depth of local police forces (usually serial killers)

History
The BFP have been around almost from the beginning with the Law Enforcement Act of 1052, at this time there was little that the BFP did with most of the crimes being able to be handled by state police forces but with the advancement of technology, particularily transportation and telecommunications the world has suddenly got alot smaller
Divisions and Departments
The Bazalonian Federal Police is made up of a number of divisions and departments where the officers of the BFP are organised to concentrate on various areas of operation

- The "Department"
Net Crimes Division
When crime occurs over telecommunication infrastructure the Net Crimes Division is called, the technical wizards and the field agents work together to collect evidence both physical and electronic to identify and locate criminals who have hacked in and stolen information or have been destructive to computer network and electronic property available. The men and women of this division utilise the latest information to help protect the nations banking and other net-linked institutions from being the subject of an online attack.
Antiquities Traffiking Division
The Antiquities Traffiking Division is as the name suggests deals with illegal transportation of culturally significant historical items into, out from or through Bazalonia. The Antiquities Traffiking Division works well with various international organisations and comparative divisions, organsiations or units within other nations to ensure that priceless artifacts are not lost forever in private collections.
Protection and Escort Division
As the name suggests this Division is responsible for the safety and security of people "important to the nation" inside and outside of the nation. "important people to the nation" are defined as federal government ministers, sitting members of parliament and senator's should there be a clear threat, foreign diginitaries while in Bazalonia on official business and ex-prime ministers.
Drug Unit
Not much needs to be be said about the Drug department as they enforce the nations strick drug laws, investigate and prosicute various offenders from providers to importers and drug dealers
The Department
TRhe Department is a name for an elite part of the BFP which handles "major crimes", that is crimes of especially heinous nature, mainly serial killers, rapists and other such crimes. The Department is a bit of a misnomer it's more of a collection of individual units each with their own "department head" each unit is responsible for determining it's own internal structure though most include Field agents, profilers and some sort of technical back up.
