Altane, officially known as the Greater Altanian Empire is a conservative monarchist nation who's homeland is made up of the Altanian Isles but who's Empire extends beyond them to various other nations including Proud Ireland, Zaku212, Xandrix, Kortane, Qurit, Iaetor, Truan and Zakus Forge. A former membr of the once great Collaboration of Allied Governments (CAG) after its original fall at the hands of the Glorious Empire of the Scandinvans who later created the Grand Imperial Alliance that Altane joined. As Altane expanded it met opposition from a renewed CAG who disliked Altane's control of Lizardiar, however the nations that Altane controls were legally annexed leading to little unity in CAG due to legal complications and unjustifiable plot to attack Altane and leading to its eventual downfall.
The National economy has become a powerhouse due to Goverment aid to fuel the economy and patriotic sentiment used to motivate workers that their work is for the good of the Empire and so that it may prosper. However on the odd occasion the Government must act to restrict private industry.
In Altane, the people lead religious and pure lives at the urging of the government and the Monarchy in Altane generally holds a unanimous support as the Holy Emperor and the 2000 year old ruling Kuritan Dynasty.
The National Military called the Altanian Imperial Forces has the additional support of the Empire's other national armies, although it often fights without the aid as 5% of the population is in the Military and is well funded. This army has been used in many conflicts including, the United Kludia War, The City of Dreams, Mercenary Contracts in Lizardiar, Breaking the Chains, and others.
The Imperial Captiol of Raultome is based on the central isle of the Altanian isles and is considered the Pearl of the Empire due to its beauty and the amount of Grand structures that depict the Empire's power.

History
Ancient Era: B.C. and the beginning of A.D.
The Altanian Race has always been present on the Altanian Isles, but it wasn't always one nation, and it has always been isolated from the outside. For most of its Ancient History there has been continuous civil war amongst warlords, they would make alliances, betray each other and there would only be the occasional part in ancient history where the Civil war would ease when a dominant Warlord became strong enough to suppress the others. But by the time they die the war would re-begin, but there was one thing that would unite the Altanian peoples, foriegn invasion, there were points in history where foriegn armies would try to take Altane but every time they would find a combined Altanian army fighting them.
About 2 years before the birth of Christ, the young Warlord, Prince Christian of Raultome, one of the first Christians in Altane, foretold another foriegn invasion, rallied the Altanians once again and fought a foriegn invasion that lasted for 18 years before the foriegn armies were defeated. Afterwards he had earned the respect of the other warlords and the combined peoples of Altane, so much so that the Warlords proposed a covenant to unite Altane under 1 banner, under Prince Christian's banner and decree him 'Holy Emperor of Altane' and name his family, the Kuritan Family, the ruling dynasty of Altane. Throughout his reign he spread Christianity amongst his people, ruled his people prosperously, and helped Altane progress into the new era and died in 36 A.D. at the age of 56. Ever since, the Kuritan Dynasty has ruled with little incident.
Medieval Era
Throughout the Medieval era the Holy Emperor's expanded Altane's influence beyond the isles although mainly remaining isolated due to the people's distrust of outsiders and the only people who spoke with outsiders were the Holy Emperor's and their top advisors and diplomats. The noble class and the people often mused themselves with the new sports that became popular, like duelling, jousting, and other sports to prove a man's honor and strength, Champions often become Nobleman if they weren't before and were often offered high positions in the Military for foreign expeditions.
Usually the most skilled of the wariiors that competed would earn the Great title of 'The Emperor's Champion' and many desired this title and for it to be bestowed onto them by the reigning Emperor himself. 1 particular champion was Corta Gyurn, a master of sword, mace, and horse alike and fought in great expansion campaigns and was very successful even on the occasion when he killed foreign assassins who were sent to kill the Emperor for the wars he waged on their nations. However Gyurn soon met his end when killed in a duel by Maxwell Miles who would be the Great Commander that conquered the former Grand Duchy of Xandrix. However Xandrix throughout its history there would be attempts by some of its people to break free but such independance would only be temporary.
Colonial era
During the colonial era, Altanian expansion increased once again towards Kortane, and other lands and islands that would be siezed. The war for Kortane was no easy victory as the then Prince of Kortane knew his homeland well and was able to move quickly all around the land preventing capture which the Altanian Imperial Legions needed for an ultimate victory, but Prince Gregory was captured by Kortanian collaborators who sought for Altanian Control and an end to the bloodshed.
Upon taking power in Kortane, Altane did what it did with all its lands, it would isolate it from the outside world to only the Greater Altanian Empire. Despite the victory over Kortane, there was a plot in the Home islands to overthrow the Dynasty by a minor Nobleman, Lord Henry Tarakot. His plots were based on personal ambition and dreams of one day ruling Altane, he planned to quietly overthrow the Emperor through a coup, but the Emperor was aware of the planned coup and when Tarakot and his men attempted to seize the palace Tarakot found himself surrounded by soldiers and there was a massive roundup of conspirators who were tried and shot for High Treason.
Early 20th Century
Having progressed greatly when Holy Emperor Victor XIX industrialized Altane, Victor XIX died at the turn of the century in 1900 A.D. and was succeeded by Holy Emperor Maximillian VI who reigned for the first half the 20th Century, and was known by his Imperial subjects for granting Imperial elections for the Supreme Chancellor to be elected by the people. This decision was made after Maximiallian VI observed how other foreign Absolute Monarchy's were failing and their Dynastys died as a result of refusing to change to a more democratic nation by granting elections, decreasing the Monarch's own power, granting power to the legislature and the Head of Government. Maxmillian had noticed that there was growing resentment for the Absolute system and conceded to give Democratic elections and the Universal suffrage for anyone at the age of 18 and higher.
Political freedoms remained little and restricted to the right to vote and the official right to speak about National issues and other rights, however some of the people considered some speech by others who spoke about issues believed that some of the speech was critical of the Monarchy and the role of the Emperor. As a result the Imperial Chancellery passed the 'Lese Majeste' laws making it illegal to speak ill of the Emperor, the Kuritan Dynasty, or the Monarchy. Despite the weakened state of the Monarchy it was still held dear as one of their most treasured traditional insitutions.
Late 20th Century
During this time after the death of Maximillian VI, his son Adam I succeeded him. The timing was bad for Adam I as it was time for him to fight for his crown, there were rumours of a Revolution to bring about a Republic, and he grew mistrustful of his politicians who were governing the nation curious of their true loyalty. Communism was rising and steadfast Monarchists believed that the Communists were behind the plans of the Harnite Revolution to put in place a Union of Socialist Republics of Altane, and even if they weren't the Republicans were making it easier for them as many Communists publicly denounced the Monarchy although they were arrested due to the lese majeste law so many who did not like the Monarchy denounced it in Privacy.
In 1963, 13 years into Adam I's reign and the Harnite Revolution had started, beginning in the city of Harnite, where the Revolutionaries had successfully taken over. The war went on for 18 years just like the Foreign invasion that made Prince Christian, Emperor of Altane and the Monarchists were victorious when the Revolutionary last stand at Harnite in 1981 ended in Monarchist victory and the Revolutionary leaders were captured and tried for High Treason, the leader, Louis Tarakot descedant of a conspirator against the Emperor in the Colonial era was executed as well as many of his associates. Afterwards Adam I was granted executive power but not absolute power so that he may govern, and one of his first acts was to open Altane to the world. In his speech announcing this he asked his people not to fear the foriegn people's as times had changed since the times of foreign invasion and that there were other nations out there who had things in common with the Altanian people.
Return to the Imperial Era: 1981 - Present
Adam I brought Altane back into stability and reigned until 1992 when he died during the War of Dreams and was succeeded by his grandson, Victor XX. Victor was 18 when he was coronated, he wasn't ment to succeed as his father was killed in action during the finishing years of the Harnite Revolution and his Aunty had given up her claim to be a Nun.
Adam I being very young was heavily influenced by his Supreme Chancellor Montgomery who manipulated the Emperor and many Government departments and was the driving force that had Lizardiar annexed into the Greater Altanian Empire. After being pushed by Kageki Saotome (whom Victor referred to as 'Uncle Kageki) who was good friends with Adam I to be a stronger Emperor and to stop listening to Montgomery he ordered the dismissal of Montgomery on grounds of manipulating the Emperor and asked the Imperial Chancellery to invest in him Absolute power like his ancestors once had. The vote was passed unanimously and the people hailed it as a return to the Imperial Era and bring long term stability.
Montgomery had since disappeared from the public eye after denouncing the Dynasty after hearing he was dismissed from his post calling Victor XX a 'Pretender' and claiming the Kuritan Dynasty died with Adam I. Now the people's support for the Holy Emperor, the Dynasty, and the Monarchy was unanimous once more.
Expansionist Campaigns
Victor XX continued the expanisionist campaigns and took control of additional countries all through legal and peaceful means and is continuing to do so. The people are more willing to go to war now for the Glory of the Empire and are supporting the Emperor take the option if needed to, as to expand the Empire in its allegiance to the Grand Imperial Alliance. But it is prophesized that it has only a couple of expansion campaigns left under Victor XX as he has displayed a willingness for peace after the end of his campaigns.
The Altanian Inquisition
The Altanian Inquisition being the Elite Paramilitary Police Force in Altane for hundreds of years, has access to various networks and services to keep state security at peak efficiency, as it has Public survelliance, patrols, and can spy on particular citizens they maybe suspicious about and are responsible for the most serious of cases in Altane.
The Brink of War with the Master M
As Altane continued to take over other foriegn nations, the Serene Republic of the Master M sought war with the Greater Altanian Empire for its takeover of Lizardiar. By this time, the Lizardiarian people become very loyal to its new Emperor-King and didn't want to leave the Empire, however the Master M was gearing up to war with Altane and was calling upon the Collaboration of Allied Governments to unite in an attack against Altane. During this time Altane High Steward of the Holy Emperor, Lord Lionel Hadin spoke on behalf of the Empire saying thats its control over other nations were completely legal and any attack on Altane would be unprovoked and unjustified. This arguement saw little willingness in the CAG Alliance to war with Altane leading to the resignation of its leader, the Master M and many other members. The war never took place, and the halls of the Collaboration of Allied Governments are now empty and silent.
Geography
Altane is a series of massive islands, which hold many rainforests, greenlands, and plains. Usually often there is a rainy day every 3 days of fine weather, but this varies during differant seasons.
Culture
The people of Altane are taught to speak English and Ancient Altanian. Although usually only speak English unless they wish only t speak to another Altanian without an otusider understanding them as only those who are Altanian or permanently part of Altane are taught Ancient Altanian as it is also used for secret Imperial coded messages making it harder for enemy nations to decipher.
There are also cultural robes and other clothing representiong Altanian culture that are often worn for formal occasions as many families have variations to represent their own family.
All Altanians today hold conservative Monarchist values and are very patriotic to the Expansion of the Empire and its allies.
Economy
The Imperial Government often gives help to industry so it may increase the power of the economy and only regulates few things that interfere in the morality of the Nation. Especially anything that threatens the nations Christian faith.
Education
In Altane, along with basic education curriculum the Imperial Government has made it a standard teching to young students to be taught about the Empire and to inspire patriotism in the youth of Altane. Often revising its history and to why Altane was right to return to the Imperial Era that it enjoyed before and now does again and why it was good the Harnite Revolution was defeated.
Discipline is also important in national schools, as disobediant students are not tolerated ad are occasionally subjected to being struck with a cane. Not as ruthlessly in the past but in moderation, and as a result obediance amongst students is profound and maintain a fun and educational classroom.
Crime
Crime in Altane is very much non-existant thanks to the abilities and powers granted to the Altanian Inquisition and the Altanian Imperial Police Force. Co-operation from citizens to convict and capture criminals is profound and often find civilians bringing criminals to the police station to be locked up and fill out a report themselves.
Military
Altane spends a great deal of trillions on its Military and approximately very 5/100 citizens are in the Imperial Forces. The structure of command in the Military has the Holy Emperor as Commander-in-Chief, Supreme Marshal Turome under the Emperor and 4 Supreme Commanders and some of best to lead the Expansion campaigns.
Soldiers are subjected to brutal training to make them ready for what war has to throw at them. The Military has brother Military forces from the other Altanian assets but often undertakes foriegn expansions by itself and is not often in need of additional forces but is known to use them.
